We specialize in curating custom experiences for couples and clients that are meaningful and personable. Our goal is to bring your personality to life in whatever form of event we are cooking up together! Love to think outside the box? So do we! Love to have fun while doing it? Us too ;)


Where are you located?

We are now based in Charleston, SC but continue to split time professionally between New York City and the Southeast. We have also hosted, or are currently working on, a number of events in other cities around the country such as Charlotte, Los Angeles, Chapel Hill, Saratoga Springs, and more.

How many weddings do you take on per year?

We are a boutique studio; therefore, we only take on a select number of weddings and events per year so that we can be sure to give our clients the time and attention they each deserve. 6-10 is our sweet spot!

Do you work solo or with a team?

Hi! I'm Marian, Owner and Lead Planner at Marian Frances Events — and yes, I'm your main point of contact from our first conversation through your last dance. Every client works directly with me from start to finish.

That said, no wedding happens with just one person, and I wouldn't want it to! We work alongside a trusted circle of vendor partners and creatives who help bring each event to life, plus extra hands on-site to make sure every detail lands exactly as planned.

If you're in the New York City area and looking for a different level of support in (or a different price point), Whitney — our Associate Planner — also takes on her own roster of clients through MFE, With Whitney. She brings her own background in theatre and event production, and couples working with her get that same Marian Frances Events approach, led by Whitney from start to finish.

Why do you do what you do?

First of all, I absolutely love this job! As a fairly recent bride myself, I was reinvigorated, re-inspired, and reminded of my love for events in a whole new way. My husband and I wanted to be proud of every decision we made about our own wedding — and more than anything, we wanted it to feel uniquely 'us.' Marian Frances Events was born from that feeling, and today, we love celebrating love and making memories, right alongside every couple we work with. ‍

Do you offer planning services for events other than weddings?

YES! After years of producing events in the media industry in NYC — everything from music festivals to award shows, cocktail parties to tasting events — I now marry my professional experience with my personal passions. I take this excitement for and expertise in events and help other couples or individuals create their perfect celebration. We love to work on birthday parties, holiday parties, dinner parties, rehearsal dinners, welcome receptions, farewell brunches, and more!
